About the Author and Illustrator
Marcel A. Bent lives in the Middle East with her young daughter. She grew up in Jamaica and has lived in the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Africa, traveling both for work and for her studies. When she travels, Marcel likes to envision places through the eyes of a child. Her stories are often about journeys that highlight our shared humanity and the beauty of friendship and adventures without cultural limitations. Tai and the Kenyan Maasai Bracelet is her third book.
Sinzore Majani is a freelance visual artist based in Nairobi, Kenya. His main focus is digital illustration. He has enjoyed Tai and the Kenyan Maasai Bracelet as an opportunity to showcase his experience in developing children’s books featuring the Maa language and culture. He hopes to one day share his colorful ideas with the world by illustrating his own book!
