Charles S. Potter, Jr.
A visionary conservationist recalls in vivid detail the experiences and adventures in the great outdoors that shaped his worldview.
In this engaging collection of personal essays, lifelong conservationist Charles S. Potter, Jr., explores the magnificence of the outdoors through his perspective as a hunter, angler, and father.
A Lifetime in Waders celebrates the constant joys and the occasional drama of visiting extraordinary places, many very remote. Each essay explores a different story from decades of outdoor adventures, infused with the importance of protecting nature. Potter’s memories take you across the Western Hemisphere, from Alaska to Nicaragua and beyond, while always cleaving to the values forged by his youth on his family’s farm in Illinois.
In these stories, the most important ideals in Potter’s life shine brightly—family, friends, and the need to pass on our outdoor heritage to future generations.
All proceeds from this book will go towards conservation efforts through the Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation and other not-for-profit organizations.
