THE BOOKS YOU RETURN TO AGAIN AND AGAIN:
Look at the Birdie by Kurt Vonnegut, Little Bee by Chris Cleave, Freedom by Jonathan Franzen, The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo, and 1984 by George Orwell.
IF YOU COULD MEET ANY AUTHOR, IT WOULD BE:
Hands down, Sherman Alexie. I find his ability to debunk racial stereotypes, his comedic wit, and his uninhibited, full-bodied laugh to be a devastatingly sexy combo.
FAVORITE TYPE OF BOOKS TO WORK ON:
Anything funny, particularly if it’s true. I am also easily seduced by solid investigative non-fiction, travel and adventure, and of course, page-turning pieces of fiction.
CONNECT WITH DEVON
Devon has worked as a freelance journalist for a number of magazines, including Guernica, Yes!, High Country News, Indian Country Today, Meatpaper, and Orion. Her learn-on-demand expertise ranges from investigative environmental reporting and book reviews to author interviews and the inexplicable allure of SPAM. To reunite her career with her love of books, Devon resigned from her position as the lead copyeditor for a corporate design studio to hit the ground running as a project manager for GFP. When she’s not managing her projects, she can be found alternating between training for a marathon and eating artisan chocolate.
