At Girl Friday, we know publishers. Whether you’re one of the Big Five, an indie, or an innovative hybrid, you’re unique and deserving of a tailor-made plan. Your out-of-house editorial and production program will fit your schedules, solve your problems, and create ease and space for your staff—all while making some amazing books.
For each publishing partner, we assign a dedicated account manager who listens to your priorities and needs, and builds a custom collaboration process to maximize value and enhance efficiency. All titles are managed in-house at GFP by production editors with specialized backgrounds. You’re never outsourced or moved offshore.
Some of Our Past and Present Clients:
Girls, I still have questions:
Do you handle illustrated or photo-heavy books?
Yes, we’re happy to provide photo research and illustration management. We can also direct photo shoots and manage permissions.
Can you handle fiction and nonfiction titles? Difficult authors? Multiple stakeholders?
Not only have we worked in every genre, we prioritize relationships and elevate the experience of making a book. It would take a lot to surprise us. A lot.
Are you experienced with licenses?
Absolutely. GFP has worked with licensors ranging from National Geographic to A&E to the Boeing Company.
What about books with complicated production pieces or sticky licensor issues?
We can solve publishing conundrums requiring advanced production expertise and thorny licensing issues, and we can work with high-touch teams.
Our company has never done a book before. Can you help?
We’re happy to consult with organizations on their publishing interests and assist them in establishing publishing programs.
